Kat Worthington

Katharina (Kat) Worthington received her BFA in Dance from California State University Long Beach. She holds a Horton pedagogy certification from the Ailey School in NYC and is a National Academy of Sports Medicine certified personal trainer. She regularly teaches  Horton at summer intensives throughout Asia and Europe and worked as an active performer and choreographer in the NYC and Bay Area dance communities. She currently teaches Horton Technique at Alonzo King Lines Dance Center in San Francisco and Lines Ballet School. San Francisco Bay Guardian dance critic Rita Felciano noted, “Kat Worthington of Copious Dance Theater challenges the law of gravity.”

For Kat, founding Copious Dance Theater is a way of giving back to the Creator and the community what has been copiously given to her : her skill,  her education and her joy of dance. She is thankful for all the support she has received in this exciting journey and would like to acknowledge the incredible artistry of the dancers around her, give thanks to her students, and her tireless famliy and friends.
